What is it like to be deaf in 2013

What is it like to be deaf adult in 2013 was it better than it was 10 years ago? yes it is because of technology really break many barrier for all deaf population. Specially with mobile smartphone can bring us to equally access with our hearing friend through texting or any mega social center like Facebook or twitters, etc..  10 year ago we need to use 3rd person like relay service to reach hearing people but now we don't need to use relay and make hearing people feel uncomfortable to use 3rd person. I couldnt wait to see what the future have in hold for me and other deaf people, will we evenually finally catch up with hearing people perfectly, because at this moment hearing people are ahead of us with bluetooth where they can talk on phone handfree and can post a voice message on their phone to make any kind command like find the place instead have to type the information in or set a planner through voice command. Will it get better for deaf people in the future?
